Product Owner

As a Product Owner at StarRez, you will play a critical role in the successful delivery of product workstreams. Acting as the key liaison between Product Managers and development teams, you will focus on executing the product vision and strategy by managing requirements, grooming the backlog, and ensuring quality software is delivered on time. You will also lead well-defined projects aligned with the Product and Technology department’s goals, working closely with Product Managers to achieve world-class outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Backlog Management & Prioritization
- Own and manage the product backlog for your assigned product or workstream.
- Collaborate with Product Managers to align backlog prioritization with strategic objectives.
- Define clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical requirements alongside engineering and design teams.

Delivery Execution
- Ensure backlog items are prioritized and executed in line with the product roadmap.
- Independently own and deliver well-defined initiatives agreed upon with the Product Manager.

Stakeholder Collaboration
- Gather business requirements from Product Managers and translate them into actionable tasks.
- Work closely with Product Managers to ensure all work aligns with the product vision and strategic goals.
- Engage actively with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Design, Quality Assurance, and Customer Success.

Refinement & Continuous Improvement
- Facilitate backlog refinement sessions, sprint planning, and retrospectives to enhance team effectiveness.
- Support agile processes to maintain high collaboration and accountability.
- Incorporate feedback from users, Quality, and internal stakeholders to improve product features.

Product Quality & Value Delivery
- Collaborate to ensure product increments meet quality standards and deliver value to users.
- Track and report delivery metrics, identifying areas for improvement.
- Document delivered features and support go-to-market processes with Product Managers.
- Work with Product Managers to optimize live features and plan incremental improvements.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Product Owner or similar role within a SaaS environment.
- Strong knowledge of agile product development frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban.
- Proven ability to manage complex product backlogs and deliver impactful features on schedule.
- Excellent collaboration skills with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, and QA.
- Strong communication skills, capable of conveying requirements clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to break down complex problems into actionable solutions.
- Experience working closely with Product Managers to translate strategic goals into deliverable tasks.
- Familiarity with product management and development tools like Jira, Confluence, and Miro.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience in B2B SaaS, particularly within Property Tech or Housing sectors.
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or similar agile certification.
- Understanding of user-centered design principles and product discovery techniques.
