Production Engineer

Amreli Steels Limited is looking for a skilled Production Engineer to join their team at the Dhabeji Plant, working specifically in the Rolling Mill department. This is a shift-based role that requires a proactive professional capable of managing production operations efficiently while ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in overseeing production activities and a strong understanding of manufacturing processes within a steel production environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Execute production plans in alignment with standard operating procedures and lean manufacturing principles to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance production output, product quality, and workplace safety.
- Oversee the daily operations of the rolling mill, including the warehouse handling facility (WHF), rolling mill, and associated handling areas.
- Carry out daily tasks as delegated by the immediate supervisor, following established SOPs.
- Supervise and assign tasks to production workers on a daily basis, ensuring clear communication and effective task management.
- Troubleshoot production and maintenance issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain continuous operations.
- Maintain accurate records of all production activities in the logbook.
- Assist the immediate supervisor with report generation and data entry related to production and maintenance activities.
- Ensure the quality of the finished product meets company standards.
- Maintain proper housekeeping within the production area to support a safe and organized work environment.
- Enforce strict adherence to safety procedures and regulations to promote a safe working environment for all employees.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Manufacturing.
- 2 to 3 years of relevant experience managing production operations within a manufacturing or industrial setting, preferably in steel production or rolling mill operations.
