Production Engineer

Amreli Steels Limited is looking for a skilled Production Engineer to join their team at the Dhabeji Plant. This role is shift-based and focuses on the operations of the rolling mill, including the warehouse handling facility and associated areas. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical or industrial manufacturing engineering and practical experience managing production activities. This position requires a hands-on approach to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient production processes while maintaining high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Execute production plans efficiently in line with standard operating procedures and lean manufacturing principles, ensuring full compliance.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance production output, product quality, and workplace safety.
- Oversee the daily operations of the rolling mill, warehouse handling facility, and related areas to ensure seamless workflow.
- Perform daily tasks as delegated by the immediate supervisor, strictly following the available SOPs.
- Supervise and assign tasks to production workers, ensuring clear communication and effective task completion.
- Troubleshoot production and maintenance issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate records of all activities in the production logbook.
- Assist the immediate supervisor with report generation and data entry related to production and maintenance activities.
- Ensure the quality of the finished products meets company standards.
- Maintain proper housekeeping to promote a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere strictly to safety procedures and regulations to guarantee safe operations at all times.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Manufacturing.
- 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in managing production department operations, preferably in a manufacturing or steel production environment.
