A reputable Works Co-Operative Housing Society Ltd. is seeking a Professional Accountant to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in public works accounting, particularly in managing project and special repair accounts. This role requires hands-on experience with works accounts and the ability to handle a variety of duties related to project accounting, maintenance, and special maintenance activities. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accounts related to public works projects and special repairs in accordance with established accounting practices.
- Perform comprehensive project accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant financial regulations.
- Oversee maintenance and special maintenance accounts, ensuring timely and accurate recording of transactions.
- Prepare financial reports and statements related to works accounts for internal review and audit purposes.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations related to ongoing projects.
- Maintain proper documentation and records in line with codal practices and organizational policies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) degree from a well-recognized university.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in handling works accounts, particularly in public works projects and special repairs.
- Proven ability to work with accounts as per codal practices related to public works.
- Candidates previously declared surplus from CPWD with relevant service records are eligible to apply.
- Strong understanding of project accounting, maintenance, and special maintenance financial procedures.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
