A reputable national NGO based in Pakistan is looking to hire three Project Development Managers to enhance its programme development, resource mobilization, and project management capabilities. The successful candidates will play a vital role in supporting organizational growth by designing and managing projects that align with donor requirements and community needs. This position requires hands-on experience in project conceptualization, proposal writing, and comprehensive project cycle management, with a focus on grassroots-level engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of project proposals, including needs assessments, logical frameworks, budgeting, and donor compliance.
- Manage the entire project cycle, ensuring effective scope, time, financial, quality, human resource, procurement, risk, and stakeholder management.
- Coordinate with donors, partners, communities, and internal teams to ensure smooth project implementation and reporting.
- Support resource mobilization efforts by identifying funding opportunities and preparing competitive proposals.
- Monitor project progress and prepare timely reports to meet donor and organizational standards.
- Engage with grassroots organizations and communities, particularly in remote and underserved areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
- Contribute to organizational growth through innovative project ideas and effective management practices.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree preferred in Development Studies, Social Sciences, Project Management, International Development, Public Administration, or related fields.
- Approximately five years of progressive experience in programme/project development and project cycle management, ideally with local or grassroots NGOs.
- Proven expertise in project conceptualization, proposal development, donor requirements, needs assessments, logical/results frameworks, budgeting, and reporting.
- Demonstrated skills in managing project scope, schedules, finances, quality, human resources, procurement, risks, and stakeholder relationships.
- Practical experience in sectors such as WASH, Infrastructure Development, Livelihoods, and Seasonal/Emergency Distributions is highly desirable.
- Experience working with grassroots organizations and communities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, especially in remote and underserved regions, will be an advantage.
Preferred Qualifications and Profile
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.
- Strong proposal and report writing skills, along with effective communication, coordination, analytical, and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and maintain productive coordination with donors, partners, and communities.
- Proactive, energetic, and results-oriented professionals with a deep understanding of grassroots dynamics and potential for long-term career growth.
- Candidates demonstrating strength in four core competency areas will be prioritized: project development, project cycle and management, sectoral and grassroots experience, and communication and stakeholder coordination.
