Project Engineer - Civil

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer – Civil to oversee and manage civil works related to telecom infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in telecom site construction, project execution, contractor management, quality control, and site coordination. This role requires managing projects from initial planning through to completion and handover, ensuring all activities meet quality standards and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and supervise all civil construction activities for telecom sites, including tower foundations, equipment foundations, shelters, boundary walls, and access roads.
- Plan and coordinate site activities in line with project schedules and customer requirements.
- Review and interpret approved drawings, BOQs, specifications, and method statements to ensure compliance.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor construction progress and verify site measurements, material quantities, and contractor work completion.
- Coordinate effectively with customers, consultants, contractors, vendors, design teams, and internal departments.
- Monitor contractor manpower, resources, materials, and productivity to ensure efficient project execution.
- Identify and resolve technical issues, site constraints, design discrepancies, and construction challenges promptly.
- Track project progress against approved timelines and milestones, preparing daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports for management.
- Manage site documentation, including RFIs, inspection reports, checklists, HOTO, punch points, and completion records.
- Ensure all construction activities comply with HSE requirements and applicable engineering standards.
- Conduct quality inspections and oversee the implementation of corrective actions.
- Support site acceptance, customer inspections, punch-point clearance, and final handover processes.
- Monitor project costs and work to minimize unnecessary material and resource consumption.
- Collaborate with commercial and procurement teams regarding project materials and contractor needs.
- Travel to various telecom project sites across Pakistan as required.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
- PEC registration is an advantage.
- 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in Civil Engineering or Project Execution.
- Experience in telecom infrastructure, tower construction, BTS sites, greenfield or rooftop sites, or similar infrastructure projects is highly preferred.
- Proven ability to manage contractors and multiple project sites.
- Strong knowledge of civil construction and telecom site development, including tower foundations, RCC works, structural foundations, shelters, and site infrastructure.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, BOQs, and technical specifications.
- Excellent project planning, coordination, and execution skills.
- Competent in contractor and manpower management, quality control, and site inspection.
- Strong reporting and documentation skills with proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Willingness to travel and work at project sites across Pakistan.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

Candidates with proven expertise in telecom tower infrastructure, civil project management, site acquisition handover, tower foundation construction, rooftop sites, customer acceptance, and nationwide project execution will be preferred. The successful candidate should be capable of managing the complete project lifecycle: planning, site readiness, construction, quality inspection, customer coordination, punch-point clearance, HOTO, and final acceptance.
