The Project Engineer role is integral to the successful planning, coordination, and execution of engineering projects that align with Avery Dennison’s business objectives. Reporting to the Manager of Engineering & Projects, the Project Engineer works closely with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This position acts as a key liaison among stakeholders, vendors, and internal teams, driving facility project initiatives from conception through completion.

Key Responsibilities

- Support the development of detailed engineering project plans, including timelines and budgets, to meet business goals.
- Collaborate with procurement, production, quality assurance, and logistics teams to coordinate project tasks effectively.
- Manage the full lifecycle of new facility projects, from initial design through construction, ensuring successful delivery.
- Track project milestones regularly, maintain up-to-date documentation, and provide progress reports to regional and site leadership.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, safety regulations, and quality standards throughout each project phase.
- Identify potential risks and challenges early, communicate them to appropriate parties, and assist in developing solutions to maintain project schedules.
- Serve as the primary point of contact to facilitate clear communication among internal teams, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
- Oversee vendor-related activities, including procurement support, contract compliance, and supplier performance evaluations.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators such as schedule adherence, budget control, and quality outcomes.
- Contribute to continuous improvements in project management processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in manufacturing maintenance, preferably within compliant factory environments.
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, and fire safety protocols.
- Proficiency with ERP systems, with preference given to candidates experienced in Oracle.
- Ability to read and interpret machine manuals and technical specifications accurately.
- Solid understanding of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), electrical and machine safety procedures, and Standardized Best Practices (SBT).
- Familiarity with A3 problem solving methodology, as well as CAPEX and OPEX management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, team leadership capabilities, and strong organizational abilities.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, coupled with adaptability in dynamic environments.
- Demonstrated commitment to industrial safety standards; supervisory certification is an advantage.
