We are seeking a skilled Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Engineer to lead and supervise site teams and daily project activities within industrial environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the installation, testing, calibration, and commissioning of electrical and instrumentation systems. This role requires hands-on experience with control panels, motor control centers (MCCs), cable laying, glanding, and terminations, as well as the ability to troubleshoot complex systems independently. The position involves close coordination with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and project teams to ensure projects meet quality, safety, and technical specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage E&I site teams, ensuring smooth execution of daily project tasks. Supervise electrical and instrumentation installation, testing, calibration, and commissioning activities on site. Handle distribution boards (DBs), control panels, MCCs, cable laying, glanding, and terminations with precision. Independently troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation systems to resolve issues promptly. Interpret and work from single line diagrams (SLDs), wiring diagrams, instrument drawings, and cable schedules accurately. Coordinate effectively with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal project teams to maintain project alignment. Prepare detailed site progress reports and maintain all relevant project documentation. Ensure strict compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements. Be prepared to work at industrial or remote sites and adapt to rotational shift schedules as necessary.
Required Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree, B.Tech, or DAE in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or a related engineering discipline is essential. Candidates should have between 2 to 5 years of relevant industrial or site experience. Demonstrated strong hands-on expertise in E&I installation, troubleshooting, testing, and commissioning is required. Solid understanding of electrical and instrumentation systems within industrial settings is necessary. Excellent leadership abilities, effective communication skills, and strong problem-solving capabilities are critical for success in this role.
