Project Manager - Ebooks

SavTech Digital is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join its eBook division. The ideal candidate will have direct, hands-on experience managing eBook writing and publishing projects from the initial client brief through to final delivery. This role requires a specialist with proven expertise in the eBook production process, including manuscript development, editing, design, formatting, and publishing coordination. General project management experience in Agile, Scrum, software development, or technical fields will not be considered sufficient. The position is full-time, based in DHA Phase VIII, Karachi, and operates on a night shift aligned with US time zones.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple eBook projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines, scope, and quality standards are consistently met.
- Translate client briefs into detailed project plans, milestones, and delivery schedules.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including Sales, Content, Editing, Design, Formatting, and Publishing throughout the project lifecycle.
- Oversee all stages of manuscript development, editing, proofreading, cover design, formatting, and publishing.
- Act as the primary client liaison for project updates, feedback collection, revisions, and approvals.
- Clearly communicate client requirements to internal teams and monitor revision progress until completion.
- Maintain comprehensive project trackers, document approvals, and regularly update management on project status.
- Identify potential delays or bottlenecks early and escalate issues to prevent impact on delivery timelines.
- Manage client expectations and scope changes to ensure smooth and timely project handover.

Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Project Manager within an eBook services company, book publishing agency, or ghostwriting business, with direct responsibility for managing eBook projects.
- Practical knowledge of the entire eBook production process, from initial briefing and writing through editing, design, formatting, and final delivery.
- Experience coordinating diverse teams including writers, editors, designers, formatters, and publishing professionals.
- Excellent written and spoken English skills, with experience communicating directly with international clients.
- Ability to juggle multiple projects, deadlines, client feedback, and revision cycles simultaneously.
- Strong organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, proactive follow-up, and a strong sense of ownership over project delivery.
