Project Manager L1(Contract)

The role focuses on defining project scope based on client requirements, managing project economics in line with estimates, and collaborating with senior client stakeholders to resolve delivery challenges. This position requires strong project management skills to ensure successful delivery within a single Line of Business (LOB), maintaining alignment with business objectives and stakeholder expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning: Develop and define project scope by assessing business and resource requirements for a single LOB. Ensure alignment with overall business goals and stakeholder needs.

Scope, Schedule, and Configuration Management: Review key project deliverables prepared by the team to verify compliance with client expectations, quality standards, and contractual service level agreements (SLAs). Provide constructive feedback and guide technical leads to implement necessary improvements. Prepare weekly and monthly Management Information System (MIS) reports to monitor operational, quality, and fulfillment metrics. Promptly escalate any deviations from the project charter and initiate corrective actions to maintain compliance.

Resource and Team Management: Plan and allocate resources effectively in line with project demands. Manage attrition and monitor performance outcomes. Conduct regular performance appraisals and mentor team members to support their professional development and continuous improvement.

Quality and Risk Management: Proactively identify potential risks or issues within the project. Implement mitigation strategies and work closely with quality assurance teams to integrate quality planning throughout project execution.

Engagement Economics: Develop accurate project estimates aligned with project scope, approach, and milestones. Manage change requests to ensure financial and operational control.

Pursuit Management: Support proposal preparation and estimation activities for upcoming projects within the assigned LOB.

Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with technical teams and client directors for sprint planning, addressing delivery issues, and providing project updates. Maintain regular communication with Workforce Management and Quality Assurance teams to ensure resource availability and adherence to quality standards.

Required Qualifications

- 8 to 10 years of experience in project management, preferably within technology services or consulting environments.
- Proven ability to manage project scope, schedules, resources, and stakeholder expectations effectively.
- Strong skills in risk identification, mitigation, and quality management.
- Experience in preparing project estimates and managing engagement economics.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with diverse teams and senior client stakeholders.
