The position involves managing agriculture and livestock activities under the Food Security and Nutrition (FNS) component in alignment with the project proposal, budget, timelines, and donor agreements. The incumbent will support monitoring and evaluation efforts, assist in capacity building, maintain proper documentation, and handle beneficiary and stakeholder complaints. Key Responsibilities

Project Management:
Oversee the efficient implementation of agriculture and livestock activities within the FNS component, ensuring compliance with project proposals, budgets, and donor regulations. Conduct orientation sessions for staff and beneficiaries to clarify objectives and planned activities. Lead beneficiary selection and registration processes, and implement campaigns such as vaccination, deworming, and post-harvest loss control.

Collaboration and Coordination:
Work closely with project management, component heads, and external stakeholders to coordinate activities and share progress updates. Liaise with relevant government departments including Agriculture, Livestock, Public Health Engineering, Food, Halal Food Authority, and Irrigation to ensure their involvement in project interventions. Support project presentations, orientations, visibility efforts, and donor visit arrangements.

Monitoring and Evaluation Support:
Assist the Project Manager and MEAL Officer in monitoring project activities and preparing quality progress reports for donors. Generate activity reports, participate in review meetings, and ensure timely data compilation for monthly, mid-term, and final reporting. Facilitate impact-oriented implementation aligned with the project Logical Framework Approach (LFA) and integrate organizational cross-cutting themes. Support nutrition surveys and M&E plan execution.

Capacity Building:
Identify capacity gaps and training needs within the team and communicate these to project and program management. Propose relevant topics for on-the-job capacity building and assist in organizing related support from donors and internal departments such as M&E, Finance, Logistics, and Security.

Documentation and Compliance:
Maintain and monitor all necessary FNS-related documentation at the field level, ensuring compliance with agreed templates and project requirements. Keep accurate records of component activities and share them regularly with project management.

Complaint Handling and Policy Implementation:
Ensure beneficiaries and community members are informed about the complaint handling mechanism and provide guidance on how to submit complaints. Support the team in managing complaints professionally and assist complainants as needed. Promote adherence to project policies and codes of conduct throughout all activities.

Required Qualifications

- Graduation in Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or Animal Husbandry, or Post Graduation in Human Nutrition or Agriculture.
- 5-6 years of relevant experience working with NGOs or INGOs.
- Strong computer proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Ability and willingness to work and live in challenging and potentially unstable environments.
- Proven commitment to accountable, transparent, and inclusive programming in complex contexts.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Experience leading multi-cultural teams with respect for local cultures.
- Professional proficiency in English and local languages (Pashto, Urdu).
