Key Responsibilities
- Conduct workplace practice assessments at selected ginning facilities using standardized tools and guidelines.
- Engage with key stakeholders, including workers, management, labor contractors, and farmers, to gain insights into workplace practices and identify areas for improvement.
- Evaluate critical areas such as worker welfare, health and safety, working conditions, grievance mechanisms, and labor practices.
- Accurately document findings, observations, gaps, and recommended actions in a systematic manner.
- Support ginners in understanding assessment requirements and assist with the implementation of practical improvements.
- Deliver basic awareness and training sessions on workplace practices, health and safety, worker welfare, and grievance mechanisms to ginners and relevant workers.
- Follow up on agreed actions with ginners and monitor progress throughout the project period.
- Coordinate with teams in Pakistan and India to ensure alignment with project guidelines, assessment tools, and reporting standards.
- Prepare detailed assessment reports, field visit summaries, action trackers, and other project documentation.
- Maintain accurate records of assessments, training activities, observations, and implementation progress.
- Provide regular updates to the HR and project teams on field progress, key observations, challenges, and areas needing further support.
- Undertake travel to ginning facilities as required during the cotton season.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Social Sciences, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 0–2 years of experience in HR, social compliance, employee relations, field projects, or related areas; fresh graduates with relevant internship or project experience are also encouraged to apply.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with workers, management, and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work independently, conduct structured assessments, and adhere to defined guidelines.
- Comfortable with field travel.
- Fluency in English and Urdu; knowledge of local languages is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
