We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Estimator Assistant to join our team in Malir Cantt, Karachi. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in construction estimating, bid preparation, and cost analysis within a collaborative work environment. The successful candidate will support the estimation team by assisting in the review of bid documents, preparing cost estimates, and coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate submissions.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in reviewing bid documents such as Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Quotations (RFQs), Requests for Information (RFIs), drawings, specifications, and project requirements. Support the estimation team in identifying project scope, deliverables, and requirements. Perform quantity take-offs from drawings, plans, and specifications under the guidance of senior estimators. Help prepare preliminary cost estimates and bid pricing to support competitive and accurate bids.

Conduct research and collect pricing information from vendors and subcontractors as directed. Assist in comparing quotations to ensure alignment with project scope and budget. Utilize historical project data, previous quotations, and approved online resources to enhance estimate accuracy. Support the preparation of technical proposals and compile all necessary RFP and bid documentation.

Ensure bid documents are complete, well-organized, and submitted within deadlines. Coordinate with project managers, senior estimators, and other team members to clarify project details and gather required information. Participate in pre-bid and post-bid meetings, recording relevant information and action items. Maintain and update databases containing vendor and subcontractor contacts, quotations, pricing, and historical cost data.

Continuously learn and develop expertise in construction estimating, quantity take-offs, proposal development, and cost analysis. Perform additional estimation and proposal-related tasks as assigned by senior estimators or management.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Strong analytical, numerical, and organizational skills. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively across different teams and departments.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

Experience level: Fresh graduates up to one year of relevant experience are encouraged to apply. Fluency in English is preferred to facilitate clear communication within the team and with external stakeholders. This is a full-time, in-person position based in Karachi, offering hands-on experience in a dynamic construction estimating environment.
