We are seeking a solutions-driven and passionate GBV Case Worker to join our team and contribute to improving the lives of vulnerable populations worldwide.

Key Responsibilities
The GBV Case Worker will be responsible for the effective implementation of gender-based violence (GBV) case management services within designated areas. This includes identifying and assessing GBV risks, conducting case planning, managing referrals, follow-ups, documentation, and case closures in alignment with IRC policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and GBV guiding principles. The role requires close collaboration with the Protection Manager, service providers, community structures, and other protection actors to ensure safe, accessible, and quality GBV services.

Specific duties include:
- Identifying and assessing GBV risks, needs, and vulnerabilities of individuals and families.
- Providing safe, confidential, and survivor-centered case management.
- Conducting intake, assessment, safety planning, case planning, follow-up, and case closure.
- Developing individualized case action plans with survivors to support informed decision-making.
- Facilitating safe and confidential referrals to health, mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS), legal, protection, and other specialized services.
- Following up on referrals to ensure continuity and quality of services while respecting survivor consent and confidentiality.
- Maintaining accurate and confidential case records using approved case management systems.
- Identifying urgent and high-risk cases and ensuring timely escalation through appropriate response mechanisms.
- Conducting community outreach and awareness activities on GBV risks, available services, rights, and referral pathways.
- Coordinating with relevant service providers and protection actors while upholding confidentiality and data protection.
- Applying principles of Do No Harm, safety, confidentiality, informed consent, respect, and non-discrimination.
- Supporting the identification of service gaps and communicating emerging protection concerns to the Protection Manager.
- Participating in coordination meetings, trainings, case discussions, and capacity-building activities.
- Contributing to program reporting, data collection, monitoring, and documentation.
- Complying with IRC safeguarding, Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA), code of conduct, data protection, and accountability standards.
- Performing other duties as assigned by the line manager.

Required Qualifications
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree from an HEC-recognized university in Social Sciences, Education, or a related field.
- At least 3 to 5 years of progressively responsible experience, including a minimum of 1 year in GBV, protection, case management, or humanitarian programming.
- Demonstrated experience in implementing protection and GBV services for vulnerable communities.
- Practical knowledge of GBV case management, referral systems, protection monitoring, and service mapping.
- Experience working with communities and stakeholders in humanitarian settings, preferably in locations such as Chaghi, Killa Abdullah, or Chaman.
- Strong communication, coordination, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in IT, documentation, and relevant case management and reporting systems.
- Excellent report-writing skills and ability to communicate effectively in English.
