The Provincial Project Manager will play a critical role in providing strategic leadership and overall management for Mercy Corps' Tuberculosis Control Program in Baluchistan, as well as upcoming projects in the region. This position requires close coordination with partners and internal teams to ensure program objectives are met effectively and in compliance with organizational protocols. The manager will serve as a key member of the Management Team, offering leadership and mentorship to field staff, overseeing professional development, and providing ongoing support to ensure smooth operations of the Mercy Corps Baluchistan program, team, and office. Additionally, the role involves contributing to the design and development of new programs that align with the country strategy and Mercy Corps’ global initiatives and policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and overall management of the Tuberculosis Control Program and other forthcoming projects in Baluchistan.
- Ensure compliance with Mercy Corps’ organizational protocols, policies, and donor requirements.
- Coordinate and maintain strong partnerships with local stakeholders, government bodies, and implementing partners.
- Lead, mentor, and support field teams to enhance their performance and professional growth.
- Oversee staff development, including training, performance evaluations, and capacity building initiatives.
- Troubleshoot operational challenges and provide timely solutions to ensure program continuity.
- Manage program resources efficiently, including budgeting, reporting, and monitoring activities.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of new programs that align with Mercy Corps’ country strategy and global priorities.
- Represent Mercy Corps in relevant forums and maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting to donors and senior management.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in project management, preferably within health programs such as Tuberculosis control or related public health initiatives.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate diverse teams in challenging environments.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with partners, government agencies, and community stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with a focus on operational efficiency.
- Familiarity with donor compliance requirements and reporting standards.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Relevant academic qualifications in public health, social sciences, project management, or a related field.
