The Healing Lounge Pakistan, a nationally recognized online mental health sanctuary established in 2023, is dedicated to providing accessible and confidential therapy, counseling, and clinical psychology services. Having successfully conducted over 3,000 therapy sessions, the organization is known for its compassionate, evidence-based approach to supporting individuals and families facing emotional distress. Expanding its holistic focus on mental well-being, The Healing Lounge Pakistan will introduce clinical diet consultations led by a registered clinical dietitian starting September 14, 2026.

Key Responsibilities
The Psychiatrist will deliver high-quality, evidence-based psychiatric assessments, diagnoses, and treatments to clients at The Healing Lounge Pakistan. This part-time, on-site position is based in the Karachi Division and involves conducting in-person consultations, formulating individualized treatment plans, and prescribing medications when clinically appropriate. The role requires close collaboration with therapists, counselors, clinical psychologists, and the clinical dietitian to ensure integrated care. Responsibilities also include documenting clinical encounters accurately, maintaining confidential medical records, and participating in case discussions. The Psychiatrist will contribute to mental health awareness initiatives and uphold ethical, culturally sensitive, and trauma-informed care practices throughout all professional interactions.

Required Qualifications
Candidates must hold a recognized medical degree (MBBS) with postgraduate specialization in Psychiatry and possess valid registration with the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) or an equivalent regulatory authority. Proven expertise in psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and management of both common and complex mental health disorders across diverse populations is essential. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong skills in clinical interviewing, risk assessment, and crisis management, with the ability to manage sensitive and high-risk cases professionally and compassionately. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to effectively collaborate within a multidisciplinary team and engage clients and their families respectfully. Proficiency in maintaining accurate and confidential clinical documentation while adhering to ethical, legal, and professional standards is mandatory. Fluency in English and Urdu is required, with additional regional languages considered an advantage. Cultural competence in working with Pakistan’s diverse communities is also necessary.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Experience with evidence-based psychopharmacology and familiarity with psychotherapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and trauma-focused interventions are highly desirable. Prior involvement in tele-mental health or hybrid care settings will be considered a plus.
