Bureau Veritas is seeking a Lead Energy Auditor for the northern region to join our Industry department based in Lahore. This permanent role offers an opportunity to contribute to energy efficiency and sustainability by performing detailed energy audits in industrial and commercial facilities. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring quality, health and safety compliance, risk mitigation, and environmental protection while supporting business growth through energy optimization consulting. This position reports directly to the Head of P&U and involves close collaboration with operations, sales, and client management teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct ASHRAE Level I and Level II energy audits, including site surveys, field measurements, and evaluation of energy-consuming equipment such as HVAC systems, chillers, motors, pumps, compressors, boilers, steam networks, and lighting systems.
- Prepare comprehensive technical audit reports with practical energy conservation recommendations.
- Perform chiller performance assessments, COP calculations, motor efficiency evaluations using Fluke 1777, compressed air leak detection via ultrasonic testing, thermographic inspections, and steam trap auditing with loss quantification.
- Utilize energy modeling and financial analysis tools such as RETScreen to identify energy-saving opportunities and conduct cost-benefit analyses.
- Support proposal development and client engagement activities to contribute to revenue generation through energy efficiency consulting services.
- Maintain professional client relationships during audits and site visits, ensuring clear communication of findings and timely submission of reports.
- Train and mentor junior staff during site activities, ensuring adherence to technical standards and timely completion of assignments.
- Comply with all applicable legal requirements and Bureau Veritas HSE policies, maintaining safe and hazard-free work environments. Report hazards, incidents, and participate in investigations as required.
- Continuously update technical knowledge on energy auditing techniques, energy efficiency technologies, HVAC optimization, power quality, and sustainability practices.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Professional training in ASHRAE Level I and Level II Energy Audits.
- Hands-on experience with thermography, compressed air leak detection, steam trap auditing, motor efficiency assessment, and chiller performance analysis.
- Strong technical expertise in energy auditing of HVAC systems, motors, pumps, compressors, boilers, steam networks, and lighting systems.
- Proficiency in COP calculations, motor efficiency analysis, compressed air leak detection, steam trap assessment, and energy saving and cost-benefit analysis using RETScreen.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in energy auditing and optimization.
- Ability to deliver energy audit services in accordance with ASHRAE guidelines and develop practical energy-saving recommendations.

Preferred Qualifications and Development Opportunities

- Certification as a Certified Energy Auditor (CEA) or equivalent is highly desirable.
- Advancement in expertise related to industrial energy management and renewable energy systems.
- Opportunities to enhance skills in advanced energy modeling, carbon reduction assessments, HVAC optimization, and power quality.
- Performance will be monitored based on the number of energy audits completed, quality and timeliness of audit reports, identification of energy-saving opportunities, and client satisfaction ratings.
