Liberty Books Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a professional, mature, and detail-oriented Purchase Data Analyst to join the Purchase Department in Karachi. This role goes beyond basic spreadsheet management and requires someone who can analyze data, identify trends, forecast demand, and translate insights into strategic purchasing decisions. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in optimizing inventory and sales performance by leveraging data-driven approaches.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate purchase, sales, inventory, and outlet-wise records.
- Coordinate with outlets to ensure data synchronization and timely reporting.
- Monitor product-wise and outlet-wise sales and stock movement.
- Identify fast-moving, slow-moving, and high-demand products.
- Analyze historical data to uncover purchasing trends and patterns.
- Prepare MIS reports, dashboards, and management summaries.
- Forecast future product demand based on historical sales and market trends.
- Recommend what to purchase, when to purchase, and in what quantities.
- Identify potential overstocking and stock-out situations.
- Collaborate closely with Purchase, Warehouse, Sales, and Outlet teams.
- Maintain data accuracy and investigate any discrepancies.
- Provide management with data-driven insights and actionable recommendations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Supply Chain, Statistics, BBA, or a related field.
- 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in Data Analysis, MIS, Purchase, Inventory, Retail Analytics, or Business Intelligence.
- Advanced MS Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, Power Query, data cleaning, and reporting.
- Experience with ERP/POS or inventory management systems is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Effective communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage and analyze data from multiple outlets and departments.
Preferred Qualifications and Additional Requirements
A genuine interest in books is mandatory for this role. The candidate should have a solid understanding of books, authors, genres, publishing trends, and customer preferences. This knowledge will enable the analyst to identify which books or products are likely to perform well in the future, thereby supporting more informed purchasing decisions.
