This hourly, remote contractor position seeks a PyCharm Specialist (Subject Matter Expert) to develop realistic and challenging computer-based tasks using PyCharm and Python development workflows. The role involves designing practical tasks, documenting them clearly in SuperAnnotate, ensuring the technical setup supports each task, and recording the execution process on your computer. Tasks may include creating Python projects, configuring interpreters, managing virtual environments, running and debugging scripts, using the terminal, installing packages, formatting and refactoring code, integrating Git, and working with test files. Your contributions will help train advanced AI models to better understand how real users perform Python development workflows within an IDE environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Create realistic PyCharm tasks that reflect practical coding and debugging scenarios, then document these tasks clearly using SuperAnnotate.
- Prepare and verify the work environment by ensuring PyCharm is installed, projects and files are accessible, interpreters and dependencies are configured, and all necessary references are ready before recording.
- Record yourself performing the PyCharm tasks, following project instructions carefully to ensure the workflow is clear, complete, and realistic.
- Provide comprehensive documentation including task context, step-by-step instructions, goals, project files, dependencies, and notes so reviewers can fully understand the task and its completion process.
- Demonstrate practical use of PyCharm features such as coding, debugging, run configurations, virtual environments, terminal commands, Git integration, package installation, and test execution where applicable.
- Maintain high submission quality by reviewing recordings and documentation to ensure tasks are complete, understandable, realistic, and aligned with project guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Proven hands-on experience with PyCharm for Python development, including debugging, project setup, package management, refactoring, terminal workflows, and Git integration.
- English proficiency at B2 level or higher to accurately comprehend project instructions, document tasks clearly, and communicate effectively with the project team.
- Comfortable managing computer workflows such as opening projects, configuring interpreters, installing packages, and recording task executions.
- Ability to design realistic and challenging PyCharm tasks that mirror actual coding, debugging, scripting, automation, testing, or project setup scenarios.
- Strong understanding of PyCharm fundamentals including project structure, interpreters, virtual environments, run configurations, debugger, terminal usage, code navigation, and version control.
- Capability to ensure the technical setup supports task requirements, including having all necessary software, files, dependencies, and references ready prior to recording.
- High attention to detail in task preparation, workflow execution, and quality assurance of recordings and documentation.
- Self-motivated, reliable, and able to consistently deliver quality work in a remote, hourly contractor role across different time zones.
