Python Developer

ProgrammerLab is seeking a part-time Python Developer to join their remote team. This role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining backend services and web applications. The ideal candidate will write clean, efficient Python code, implement APIs, integrate databases, and optimize application performance. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, troubleshoot issues, and participate in code reviews is essential. Additionally, the developer will contribute to improving existing systems, support deployment and testing activities, and assist in creating technical documentation.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend services and web applications using Python.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices.
- Implement and integrate APIs to support frontend and third-party services.
- Work with databases (SQL or NoSQL) including design, querying, and optimization.
- Collaborate with team members to gather requirements and resolve technical issues.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to standards.
- Support deployment, testing, and troubleshooting of applications.
- Contribute to technical documentation and system improvements.

Required Qualifications
- Strong programming skills in Python and general software development principles.
- Experience in backend web development, including server-side logic and API creation.
- Solid understanding of software development practices such as version control and testing.
- Proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and their application in Python.
- Hands-on experience with databases, including SQL or NoSQL systems.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable code and follow coding standards.
- Comfortable working remotely with effective time management and communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
