QA Engineer (Freelance - 40 hrs/wk)

Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute detailed manual test cases and scenarios to ensure product quality.
- Perform functional, regression, usability, and exploratory testing to validate features and user workflows.
- Identify, document, and report clear, actionable bugs, including reproduction steps and supporting evidence.
- Collaborate closely with development and product teams to clarify requirements and verify bug fixes.
- Verify bug fixes and new features through thorough manual testing before release.
- Maintain test documentation, quality metrics, and accessible reporting dashboards.
- Assist in prioritizing critical bugs to ensure timely resolution.
- Support automation efforts by providing insights on test coverage and validating automated test results.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in manual testing across web, mobile, and API applications.
- Expertise in exploratory testing to uncover edge cases, usability issues, and unexpected product behavior.
- Proficient in designing and executing various manual test types, including functional, regression, usability, integration, and API testing.
- Familiarity with CI/CD fundamentals and comfortable fine-tuning pipeline configurations using YAML.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proven ability to identify and eliminate flaky tests.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a curiosity-driven approach to documenting edge cases and thinking like an end user.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

- Ability to maintain automated test coverage at 90% of critical paths within three weeks.
- Commitment to keeping full regression test execution under 10 minutes to provide rapid feedback to engineers.

Compensation and Work Environment
- Monthly salary range: USD $600 - $700.
