QA Engineer

We are seeking a detail-oriented QA Engineer to join our growing team in Islamabad. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, execute, and maintain test cases to ensure software quality.
- Identify, document, and track bugs through their full life cycle, prioritizing issues based on severity and impact.
- Perform various types of testing including smoke and regression tests to validate new features and fixes.
- Utilize browser developer tools, especially Console and Network tabs, to troubleshoot and analyze web applications.
- Verify functionality across different user roles, subscription plans, and account types within web applications.
- Collaborate closely with developers and product teams to understand requirements and deliver feedback.
- Conduct real-world testing scenarios such as file exports (Word/PDF), mobile responsiveness, and dark mode compatibility.
- Use bug tracking systems like GitHub Issues or Jira to manage and communicate testing progress.

Required Qualifications
- Up to 1 year of experience in QA or software testing, including internships, bootcamps, or personal projects.
- Solid understanding of fundamental testing concepts such as test case creation, bug life cycle, severity vs. priority, and different testing types.
- Proficiency in using browser developer tools for debugging and inspection.
- Familiarity with web applications that include user accounts, subscription models, and role-based access.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent written communication skills in English.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Basic programming knowledge in JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python to support automated testing efforts.
- Hands-on experience with testing frameworks and tools such as Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium.
- Exposure to API testing using Postman or similar tools.
- Basic SQL skills to query and verify data stored in databases.
- Experience working with bug tracking and project management tools like GitHub Issues or Jira.
- Interest in EdTech or SaaS products is a plus.

Technical Environment and Tools
- Testing stack includes Playwright (TypeScript), Vitest, browser DevTools, and accessibility tools like axe.
- API testing supported by Postman and integrated Swagger documentation.
- Data verification using PostgreSQL with SQL clients.
- Payment system testing in Stripe’s test mode.
- Collaboration through GitHub for issue tracking, pull requests, and CI/CD pipelines.
