As a privately owned firm, we provide IT consultancy, UI/UX design, software development, deployment, and maintenance services across government and business sectors. We are looking for a detail-oriented QA Engineer with 1 to 2 years of experience to join our team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with developers and stakeholders to ensure the quality, performance, and reliability of our software products, playing a key part in delivering top-notch solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive test plans and strategies that align with project requirements.
- Create clear, well-structured test cases and test scripts to validate software functionality.
- Execute test cases, document results meticulously, and report defects with detailed analysis.
- Design, implement, and maintain automated test scripts to improve testing efficiency.
- Conduct regression testing to ensure software stability after code changes.
- Log, track, and manage defects throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with developers to understand system architecture and testing needs.
- Perform performance testing to verify application scalability and responsiveness.
- Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities with end-users.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to enhancing QA practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 1 to 2 years of experience in Quality Assurance or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and software testing methodologies.
- Proven ability to write clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks.
- Familiarity with Agile and Scrum development environments.
- Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience with performance testing tools is advantageous.
- Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman is desirable.
- Basic knowledge of programming or scripting languages is beneficial.
This is a full-time, on-site position suitable for candidates with 1 to 2 years of experience, including freshers looking to grow their career in quality assurance. The monthly salary range for this role is Rs 50,000 to Rs 60,000.
