We are seeking a Senior QA Engineer specializing in Test Automation to join our team in Lahore, Pakistan. This onsite role requires 3 to 5 years of experience and offers the chance to contribute to a leading mobile gaming company known for delivering engaging experiences to millions of players worldwide. The ideal candidate will take full ownership of product quality by designing robust test strategies, identifying critical edge cases, and developing reliable automated testing solutions. You will collaborate closely with developers, designers, and product managers throughout the development lifecycle to ensure a seamless and high-quality gaming experience from feature inception to release.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, review, and maintain comprehensive test cases based on requirements, user stories, and design specifications.
- Identify edge cases related to player behavior, network interruptions, device compatibility, and operating system variations.
- Develop and sustain automated test suites covering UI, API, and gameplay or application flows.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to provide consistent and reliable feedback with every build.
- Define test strategies and quality standards for new features, releases, and live updates.
- Conduct exploratory, regression, performance, and compatibility testing to ensure product robustness.
- Identify, document, and track bugs while working closely with developers to resolve issues efficiently.
- Monitor quality metrics such as escaped defects, test coverage, and flaky test rates to continuously improve testing processes.
- Mentor junior QA engineers and promote best testing practices across teams.
- Utilize AI and machine learning tools to enhance testing efficiency while maintaining accountability for quality outcomes.

Required Qualifications

- 3 to 5 years of professional QA experience, including at least 2 years of hands-on test automation.
- Experience working in a product-based company environment; outsourcing or services-only experience is not sufficient.
- Strong knowledge of test design techniques and the ability to identify complex edge cases.
- Proficiency with automation frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, Appium, Cypress, or similar tools.
- Programming skills in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or C#.
- Experience with API testing and integrating tests within CI/CD pipelines.

- A degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience testing mobile, PC, or console games, especially live-service or free-to-play titles.
- Understanding of live operations, game events, patches, A/B testing, in-app purchases, gameplay mechanics, progression systems, game economies, and multiplayer features.
- Background in testing consumer mobile or web applications with large active user bases.
- Familiarity with Unity or Unreal testing tools, game telemetry, automated playtesting, or bots.
- Experience using device farms such as BrowserStack, Firebase Test Lab, or AWS Device Farm.
- Knowledge of App Store and Google Play release cycles.
- Experience with performance and load testing tools like JMeter, k6, or Locust.

What Success Looks Like

Success in this role means delivering reliable automated tests integrated into CI/CD pipelines with a low flaky-test rate, establishing effective quality gates for releases and live updates, and identifying risks early in the release process. You will help reduce escaped defects and improve test coverage of core user flows continuously. Additionally, fostering strong testing practices among junior QA engineers and collaborating effectively with development and product teams to deliver high-quality gaming products are key indicators of success.

What We Offer

We provide a competitive salary package along with health coverage and paid leave. You will have opportunities to learn and experiment with new testing tools and make a direct impact on live products enjoyed by players worldwide.
