We are seeking a motivated QA Intern who is eager to develop skills in modern testing practices and contribute to delivering high-quality software products. In this role, you will work closely with QA Engineers and Developers within an Agile environment. Your responsibilities will include testing applications, creating test scripts, and gaining hands-on experience with industry-standard QA tools. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to build foundational QA skills in a supportive, real-world setting, preparing you for a successful career in software quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in writing detailed test cases, test scenarios, and preparing test data for both web and mobile applications. Perform manual functional testing, including UI testing, regression, smoke, and sanity testing to ensure software quality. Support and learn automation testing using popular tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress. Help execute API testing with tools like Postman, Swagger, or REST Assured. Actively participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives. Maintain bug reports and document defects efficiently using Jira or similar issue-tracking tools. Contribute to the creation and maintenance of test documentation, such as test plans and test summary reports. Collaborate closely with developers and DevOps teams to reproduce issues and verify fixes. Gain foundational knowledge of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
Required Qualifications
A basic understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and software testing lifecycle (STLC) is essential. Familiarity with manual testing concepts, including writing test cases, test scenarios, and understanding the defect lifecycle, is required. Knowledge of at least one programming language such as Python, Java, or JavaScript is expected. A good grasp of HTML, CSS, and basic web behaviors will be beneficial. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary to identify and troubleshoot issues effectively. Above all, a keen willingness to learn automation frameworks and testing tools is critical for success in this role.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Exposure to automation testing tools like Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress will be considered an advantage. Experience with API testing tools is a plus. Basic knowledge of Git and version control systems is preferred. Familiarity with basic SQL queries will be helpful in understanding backend data validation. An understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies will support your integration into the team and workflow. This is a full-time, in-person internship position offering a monthly stipend ranging from Rs 10,000 to Rs 30,000.
