QA MANAGER-AUTOMATION & MANUAL TESTING

7 Kings Code is seeking an experienced QA Manager to lead both automation and manual testing efforts. This full-time, onsite role is based in DHA Phase 8, Lahore, with working hours from 5:30 PM to 2:30 AM. The ideal candidate will have over seven years of experience in software quality assurance, including at least three years of hands-on expertise in QA automation. Immediate joiners are preferred to help drive the company’s quality initiatives forward.

Key Responsibilities
Lead the QA team in executing manual and automated testing while establishing and maintaining QA standards and processes. Design and sustain scalable automation frameworks for web, API, mobile, and enterprise applications. Develop automation scripts using tools such as Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or similar technologies. Utilize programming languages including JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, or Python to enhance automation efforts. Integrate automated tests seamlessly into CI/CD pipelines using platforms like Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions. Oversee various testing types including functional, regression, smoke, integration, exploratory, and end-to-end testing. Manage API testing, defect triage, root cause analysis, and ensure release readiness. Mentor QA engineers by reviewing automation code and continuously improving test coverage and reliability.

Required Qualifications
A minimum of seven years of experience in software QA with at least three years dedicated to hands-on automation is essential. Strong skills in developing and troubleshooting automation frameworks are required. Proficiency in at least one automation tool such as Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress is mandatory. Programming knowledge in JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, or Python is necessary. Experience with API testing, CI/CD processes, Git version control, SQL databases, and Jira for issue tracking is expected. A solid understanding of manual testing principles and proven leadership or mentoring experience in QA is also important.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or k6, working with enterprise applications, and familiarity with Docker and cloud-based testing environments is advantageous. Knowledge of reporting tools such as Allure, behavior-driven development frameworks like Cucumber, and AI-assisted testing technologies will be considered a plus. Holding an ISTQB certification or having experience collaborating with US-based clients is also preferred.
