Perfect Aerosol Industries (Pvt.) Ltd. is seeking a qualified and experienced QC & QA Officer specializing in Chemicals to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting chemical and raw material testing, overseeing quality inspection processes, managing chemical dilution and blending quality control, and ensuring QA documentation and compliance within the Chemical Department. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can maintain high standards of quality and safety in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Control – Chemicals:
- Inspect and sample incoming chemicals and raw materials to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Perform chemical and physical testing, including parameters such as pH, density/specific gravity, viscosity, appearance, color, odor, and purity.
- Review supplier Certificates of Analysis (COAs) against approved specifications and approve or reject chemicals based on test outcomes.
- Ensure that only QC-approved chemicals are released for production use.
- Monitor chemical dilution, blending, and preparation activities from a quality standpoint.
- Identify and report any Out of Specification (OOS) materials promptly.
- Maintain accurate laboratory test reports, sampling records, and retain samples for reference.
- Ensure laboratory equipment is properly maintained and calibrated to guarantee reliable test results.
Quality Assurance – Chemicals:
- Ensure adherence to approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), specifications, and work instructions throughout chemical receiving, storage, testing, dilution, and blending processes.
- Monitor quality compliance and review QC records to ensure proper documentation and traceability of chemicals and batches.
- Assist in managing deviations, non-conformities, and quality investigations.
- Support Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) activities.
- Participate in internal quality inspections and audits to uphold quality standards.
- Maintain and control quality documents, forms, and specifications to ensure up-to-date records.
- Follow up on corrective actions and quality issues to ensure timely resolution.
- Coordinate effectively with Production, Stores, Procurement, and other relevant departments to maintain smooth operations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry or a relevant field.
- 2 to 4 years of experience in Quality Control and Quality Assurance.
- Strong knowledge of chemical laboratory testing methods and quality management systems.
- Familiarity with QC/QA concepts such as COA, OOS, SOPs, CAPA, and RCA.
- Understanding of chemical handling procedures and laboratory safety standards.
- Excellent documentation, reporting, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
