Quality Assurance Engineer

Innovative Code Lab is seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Engineer to join their remote team. This role focuses on ensuring the quality and reliability of software products prior to release. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, executing, and maintaining test cases, performing manual testing, and validating that software features meet both functional and non-functional requirements. Collaboration with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders is essential to understand specifications, identify defects, and recommend improvements. The position demands a detail-oriented and methodical approach to testing, with a strong commitment to delivering stable, user-centered software solutions.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, execute, and maintain comprehensive test cases for web, mobile, and cloud-based applications.
- Perform manual testing to validate software functionality against requirements.
- Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to clarify specifications and resolve issues.
- Document test results thoroughly and track defects using issue management tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing standards and processes within the team.
- Ensure that software releases meet quality standards by verifying both functional and non-functional requirements.

Required Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Quality Assurance and Software Testing principles, including familiarity with various testing methodologies and best practices.
- Hands-on experience in test execution and working with structured test cases to verify software functionality.
- Proficiency in manual testing techniques applicable to web, mobile, or cloud-based applications.
- Ability to identify, document, and track defects effectively using issue tracking tools.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with the capability to interpret requirements and translate them into effective tests.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills for reporting test results and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
