This role is responsible for coordinating quality control and quality improvement activities to ensure production aligns with Coca-Cola standards and legal regulations. The position involves leading quality assurance (QA) capability development, supervising QA operations, and driving continuous improvement in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and housekeeping standards. The successful candidate will manage materials and inventory for water and syrup production, ensure effective execution of quality systems, and lead internal audits. Additionally, the role requires managing QA resources, leading people and performance management, and driving consumer and customer satisfaction through complaint management and follow-up actions. Coordination with suppliers and compliance with plant management systems across quality, environment, occupational safety, food safety, and energy management are also key aspects of this position.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead QA capability development and training by assessing development areas and training needs, supporting operational teams to build necessary quality capabilities.
- Supervise Quality Assurance processes and operations, including laboratory, syrup, microbiology, water treatment, wastewater treatment, and water sources, ensuring compliance with company standards, procedures, and legal requirements.
- Drive GMP and housekeeping standards across all responsible areas, ensuring continuous improvement in implementation.
- Manage materials and inventory requirements for water and syrup production, including stock control, purchase orders, material availability, equipment utilization, and material yield monitoring.
- Ensure effective execution of quality systems in line with GMP, Food Safety Management Systems, Coca-Cola International (CCI), and The Coca-Cola Company (TCCC) requirements, including identifying non-conformities and initiating corrective and preventive actions.
- Plan and manage QA resources such as equipment, materials, and manpower to deliver operations according to required standards.
- Plan, participate in, and lead internal audits while ensuring timely calibration and maintenance of equipment and effective utilization of QA systems such as SAP.
- Lead people and performance management within QA, including conducting performance reviews, development planning, providing feedback, coaching, and guidance, while ensuring adherence to occupational health and safety requirements.
- Drive consumer and customer satisfaction by managing complaints, investigating issues, following up on corrective and preventive actions, facilitating customer or consumer visits when required, and regularly reporting complaints and defect material reports (DMRs).
- Support the establishment and ongoing management of Quality and Management Systems, ensuring all required documentation is maintained and updated.
- Coordinate with suppliers for procurement of departmental materials and resolution of quality-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with plant management systems, including Quality, Environment, Occupational Safety, Food Safety, and Energy Management requirements.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably in Food Engineering or Chemical Engineering.
- Proven experience in quality assurance within a production environment, ideally in the beverage or food industry.
- Strong knowledge of GMP, Food Safety Management Systems, and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Experience managing QA teams and leading capability development initiatives.
- Proficiency in quality systems and tools, including SAP and internal audit processes.
- Demonstrated ability to manage materials, inventory, and equipment related to production quality.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to occupational health and safety standards.
