Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Assurance Engineer to join the Hive-health team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive testing strategies to ensure the delivery of high-quality products on both web and mobile platforms. Your primary goal will be to identify and resolve issues before they reach the end user. You will work closely with developers, designers, and product managers to uphold and enhance our quality standards throughout the development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts, including both manual and automated testing.
- Conduct functional, integration, regression, and performance testing across web and mobile applications.
- Collaborate with developers to gain a thorough understanding of application functionality and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Identify, document, and track defects using appropriate bug tracking tools.
- Perform smoke and sanity testing to ensure releases meet established quality benchmarks.
- Create and maintain automated test suites to improve testing efficiency.
- Manage QA environments and handle test data preparation and maintenance.
- Continuously refine QA processes and maintain clear, up-to-date documentation.
- Verify compatibility across a range of devices, browsers, and operating system versions.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 1-2 years of proven experience in software quality assurance, specifically for web and mobile applications.
- Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks for both frontend and backend testing.
- Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman.
- Experience using version control systems, preferably Git.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience testing modern JavaScript-based applications.
- Proficiency in testing Flutter-based mobile applications.
- Practical experience with automated testing frameworks.
- Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, including tools like GitHub Actions.
- Experience working within Agile development environments.
- Knowledge of performance and load testing techniques.
- Understanding of AWS services used for staging and test environments.
