This role focuses on ensuring the quality and technical compliance of transformer manufacturing through thorough in-process inspections, quality gates, material traceability, non-conformance report (NCR) management, documentation, and final testing. The position requires adherence to defined standards and specifications to maintain product integrity throughout the production cycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify and review in-process inspection sheets across various production sections to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Implement Quality Gates that prevent products from progressing to the next stage without meeting all technical requirements of the preceding section.
- Study the One World Quality Manual and develop corresponding work instructions tailored for different production areas.
- Understand transformer specifications for different ratings and prepare relevant in-process inspection sheets and drawings accordingly.
- Inspect transformer leads, check tolerances, and recommend modifications when necessary.
- Monitor the final assembly process, including final clamping, active part exposure time, leads tolerances, and visual inspection of the active part before tanking.
- Compile a comprehensive documented file for each transformer order, incorporating all technical data and completed in-process inspection sheets.
- Maintain material traceability records, documenting supplier details and serial numbers for materials and accessories.
- Generate Non-Conformance Reports for suppliers if received materials are damaged or fail to meet specifications.
- Create Non-Conformance Reports for production-related failures, including corrective and preventive actions to address process or product issues.
- Oversee ongoing routine and type testing of transformers in the Test Field to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Electrical Engineering.
- 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in transformer manufacturing or a related quality assurance role.
- Proficiency in engineering drawing and basic power engineering concepts.
- Strong command of English and Urdu languages.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD is advantageous.
