The Quality Control Officer plays a vital role in ensuring that all food products meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance throughout the production process. This position involves thorough inspection and evaluation of finished goods and raw materials to maintain strict adherence to quality protocols and food safety guidelines. The officer works closely with production and warehouse teams to guarantee that only products meeting all quality criteria proceed to storage or dispatch.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect finished products to verify compliance with quality standards, including packaging integrity, weight accuracy, and overall finishing.
- Conduct sensory evaluations such as appearance, texture, aroma, and taste (where applicable) to confirm product acceptability.
- Ensure that all products are free from contamination and meet established food safety and hygiene requirements prior to approval.
- Perform raw material inspections and testing according to defined quality standards and specifications.
- Complete mandatory quality control checks before products are transferred to cold storage or dispatched.
- Monitor adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and promptly report any non-conformities or deviations to the supervisor.
- Maintain detailed inspection records and prepare daily or weekly quality reports as required by management.
- Coordinate effectively with production and warehouse teams to ensure timely quality clearance of products.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science, Quality Management, or a related discipline. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in a Quality Assurance or Quality Control role within the food industry.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, quality assurance processes, and auditing procedures.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to think strategically with sound business acumen.
- Results-driven mindset with attention to detail.

- Preference will be given to candidates with at least one year of direct experience in quality control.
- The role is based on-site, requiring in-person attendance.
- Compensation starts from Rs 40,000 per month.
