Quality Manager (for Plastic Injection Molding) Mechanical Engineer

TECHMEN Engineering is looking for a dedicated and experienced Quality Manager with a background in Mechanical Engineering. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in plastic injection molding and automotive parts manufacturing. This role involves overseeing product quality, managing quality systems, addressing customer requirements and audits, controlling inspection processes, and driving continuous improvement throughout the manufacturing operations. The position is full-time and based on-site in Lahore, offering a monthly salary ranging from PKR 55,000 to 120,000.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise all Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) activities.
- Ensure the quality of plastic injection molded automotive parts meets customer specifications and engineering drawings.
- Oversee incoming, in-process, and final inspection activities.
- Address customer complaints, non-conformities, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis, 5 Why Analysis, CAPA, and other problem-solving techniques.
- Prepare and maintain inspection standards, quality records, control plans, check sheets, and related documentation.
- Coordinate new product development, sample inspections, trials, and customer approvals.
- Perform internal quality, process, and product audits.
- Prepare for and manage customer and external quality audits.
- Monitor key quality performance indicators such as rejection rates, rework, and defects.
- Collaborate closely with Production, Engineering, Tool Room, Purchasing, and Management teams to resolve quality issues.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing defects and enhancing manufacturing quality.
- Train and supervise QC inspectors and quality staff.
- Ensure compliance with the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) and applicable customer requirements.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control.
- Practical experience in plastic injection molding is essential.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings, dimensional inspection, measuring instruments, and inspection methods.
- Proficient in root cause analysis and corrective action techniques.
- Excellent leadership, communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience in automotive parts manufacturing is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, and SPC standards and methodologies.
- Experience handling customer audits and quality complaints is advantageous.
