Faisal Associates is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Lahore. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing quantity takeoffs, cost estimations, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), material costing, tender documentation, rate analysis, and monitoring project costs. A strong understanding of construction materials, building works, drawings, specifications, and current market rates is essential. Experience with architectural and construction projects will be highly valued.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for residential and commercial construction projects.
- Conduct accurate quantity takeoffs from architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
- Develop project cost estimates, budgets, and material cost calculations.
- Perform rate analysis for construction items and materials.
- Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Monitor project costs and assist in maintaining cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
- Review drawings, specifications, and construction documents to identify quantities and scope of work.
- Prepare tender documents, comparative statements, and cost breakdowns.
- Assist in procurement and subcontractor evaluation processes.
- Verify contractor and subcontractor bills against actual work completed.
- Conduct site visits to verify quantities and assess project progress as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of quantities, rates, costs, variations, and project documentation.
- Identify cost variations and report potential cost overruns to management.
- Coordinate effectively with architects, engineers, project managers, site teams, suppliers, and contractors.
- Assist in preparing variation orders and evaluating their financial impact.
- Stay updated with current construction material prices and market trends.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying or construction cost estimation.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and processes.
- Excellent understanding of architectural and structural drawings.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other quantity surveying or cost estimation tools.
- Experience in preparing BOQs, estimates, rate analysis, and comparative statements.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and coordination abilities.
- Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience with residential and commercial construction projects.
- Knowledge of local construction market rates and supplier networks.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD drawings.
- Experience in construction project management and procurement.
- Understanding of MEP quantities and coordination is an advantage.
