The Quantity Surveyor position is a full-time, on-site role based in Peshawar, focused on supporting construction and infrastructure projects through effective cost management. The role involves preparing and reviewing Bills of Quantities (BOQs), monitoring project expenditures, and assisting in budget development and cost planning. The Quantity Surveyor will analyze cost variations, prepare detailed financial reports, and advise project teams on cost implications and potential financial risks to ensure projects remain within approved budgets while adhering to quality standards and donor requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and perform accurate quantity take-offs and measurements for construction and infrastructure works.
- Monitor project costs by tracking expenditures and analyzing variations to support effective cost control.
- Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and cost plans in collaboration with project and program teams.
- Provide timely and clear cost reports and financial summaries to inform decision-making processes.
- Advise project teams on financial risks and cost implications related to project changes or delays.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, procurement, and program teams to ensure cost-effective project delivery within approved budgets.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to cost management, contracts, and procurement processes.
- Support tender evaluations and contribute to the improvement of cost management procedures and tools.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, donor requirements, and relevant contractual obligations.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Strong skills in BOQ preparation, quantity take-offs, and measurement techniques for construction and infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in cost planning and management, including budgeting, forecasting, and value engineering.
- Experience in cost control and reporting, with the ability to monitor expenditures and produce clear financial summaries.
- Knowledge of standard contract forms and procurement procedures, preferably within development or public sector projects.
- Competence in using quantity surveying software and MS Office applications such as Excel; familiarity with AutoCAD is advantageous.
- Effective communication and report-writing skills, with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work on-site in Peshawar and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams while managing multiple tasks and deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Relevant professional certification or membership such as PQS, RICS, or an equivalent qualification is considered an asset.
- Experience working with international organizations, NGOs, or donor-funded projects is highly desirable.
