React Native Developer (Expo) + React/Next.js

We are seeking a skilled React Native Developer with expertise in Expo and React/Next.js to join our team in Lahore on-site. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience shipping Expo apps to both the Apple App Store and Google Play, with a clear understanding of over-the-air update strategies. This role involves working on mobile applications integrated with the Shopify Storefront API as well as web applications for various client projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop iOS and Android applications using Expo, Expo Router, and TypeScript, leveraging the Shopify Storefront API (GraphQL).
- Implement customer authentication using OAuth 2.0 with PKCE, integrate Shopify Checkout Kit, manage local payment redirects, and configure push notifications via Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM).
- Manage app releases including building, submitting, and updating apps using EAS Build, Submit, and Update tools. Own the entire app store release process.
- Build React and Next.js web applications for additional client projects, ensuring high performance and scalability.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience with React and at least 2 years with React Native. Proven track record of shipping at least one app to both the App Store and Google Play.
- Proficiency with Expo SDK 55+ including the New Architecture, development builds, config plugins, EAS Update channels, and runtime versions.
- Strong understanding of React hooks, performance optimization techniques such as re-render control, and efficient list rendering using Flash List or Flat List.
- Experience with Next.js 16 App Router, Server Components, and advanced caching and rendering strategies.
- Knowledge of secure token storage, deep linking, and push notification workflows.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Familiarity with Node.js APIs and database integration.
- Experience working with native modules in Swift or Kotlin.
- Exposure to animation libraries such as Reanimated, state management tools like TanStack Query or Zustand.
- Testing expertise using Jest, Maestro, or Playwright.
- Comfortable working with monorepos.
- Daily use of AI-assisted coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot, with a strong emphasis on reviewing and testing AI-generated code outputs.
