Phenologix is seeking a skilled React Native Developer to join our team in building high-quality, cross-platform mobile applications for both iOS and Android. In this role, you will collaborate closely with product managers, UI/UX designers, backend developers, and QA engineers to design, develop, test, and maintain scalable and secure applications. Your work will directly impact the user experience and performance throughout the full development lifecycle, contributing to solutions that help our clients thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable mobile applications using React Native and TypeScript.
- Integrate mobile apps with REST APIs, GraphQL services, and third-party platforms.
- Optimize application performance, responsiveness, stability, and battery consumption.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across iOS and Android platforms.
- Implement authentication mechanisms such as OAuth, JWT, and Firebase Auth, along with secure local storage, push notifications, deep linking, and analytics.
- Manage application builds, signing, deployment, and releases on Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
- Write unit, integration, and automated tests to ensure application quality.
- Participate in code reviews and help establish mobile development standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with designers to implement responsive and accessible user interfaces.
- Work alongside backend and DevOps teams to support CI/CD pipelines and development environments.
- Monitor production applications to address crashes, performance issues, and user-reported problems.
- Ensure mobile interfaces follow UX and accessibility best practices for a user-friendly experience.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of professional experience developing production applications with React Native.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and modern state management libraries such as Redux Toolkit, Zustand, MobX, or React Query.
- Strong understanding of mobile application architecture and design patterns.
- Experience integrating RESTful APIs, GraphQL APIs, and third-party SDKs.
- Familiarity with native iOS and Android development concepts, including Swift, Objective-C, Java, or Kotlin.
- Experience with React Native CLI and/or Expo for building applications.
- Proven experience publishing and maintaining apps on Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
- Knowledge of mobile security principles, local storage, authentication, permissions, and application lifecycle management.
- Skilled in Git and collaborative development workflows.
- Experience with automated testing tools such as Jest, React Native Testing Library, Detox, or Appium.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills across iOS and Android platforms.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, Bitrise, Fastlane, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins.
- Experience upgrading React Native versions and managing native dependencies.
- Ability to manage enterprise-level projects and communicate effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.
- Experience working in Agile or Scrum development environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
