React Native Engineer

We are looking for a skilled React Native Engineer with over two years of experience to join our team in Lahore. The ideal candidate will have expertise in leveraging AI-augmented development tools to accelerate coding while maintaining a resilient, offline-first architecture and efficient local data management. Key Responsibilities

- Utilize AI-native coding tools such as Cursor and Copilot to streamline development, manage boilerplate code, and generate TypeScript interfaces for faster feature delivery.
- Design and implement offline-first architectures that ensure the app functions reliably without network access by employing resilient local-first data strategies.
- Develop robust background synchronization engines with retry logic and conflict resolution mechanisms to maintain data consistency once connectivity is restored.
- Implement optimistic UI updates that immediately reflect user actions before server confirmation, providing a zero-latency experience.
- Lead architectural decisions regarding on-device storage solutions, ensuring data integrity, normalization, and optimal performance across the app.

Required Qualifications

- Proficiency in AI-native data modeling and Data Transfer Objects (DTOs), including generating and maintaining TypeScript DTOs that map backend responses to local storage schemas.
- Experience implementing validation layers using libraries such as Zod or Superstruct to enforce strict runtime types and safeguard data integrity.
- Strong skills in architecting efficient data mappers to normalize API data without compromising UI responsiveness.
- Expertise in sophisticated state management techniques, including layered strategies for server state (TanStack Query), global client state (Zustand or Redux), and local UI state (useState).
- Ability to treat the local database (e.g., MMKV or SQLite) as the primary source of truth, using the network solely for synchronization purposes.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted logic for managing complex optimistic updates that instantly reflect UI changes.
- Experience building offline-first resilience features such as background sync engines with pending action queues and defining clear conflict resolution rules like Last-Write-Wins or versioning.
- Advanced TypeScript skills, including generics and utility types, to create reusable and type-safe DTOs.
- Proven mastery of Zustand and TanStack Query for state persistence and cache invalidation.
- Capability to handle large local datasets (10,000+ records) efficiently without degrading UI performance.
- Knowledge of conflict resolution strategies, including CRDTs, to manage data consistency in distributed environments.
