We are seeking a Mid-Level Full-Stack Developer with 3 to 5 years of experience to join our team in Johar Town, Lahore. This full-time, on-site role involves working on a long-term project for a German client in the restaurant and retail sectors. The primary focus is to develop a browser-based Point-of-Sale (POS) system from the ground up. The initial phase includes building a stable POS application, followed by a Backoffice/Admin Portal, and later expanding to inventory management and ERP functionalities. The developer will collaborate closely with the client and a Senior Technical Lead who will provide architectural guidance and conduct code reviews. Working hours are from 10 am to 7 pm, aligned with Central European business hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a responsive browser-based POS interface using React.
- Build secure, scalable backend services with C# and ASP.NET Core.
- Design and maintain RESTful APIs and relational databases.
- Create modules for products, customers, sales, orders, receipts, users, roles, and permissions.
- Implement cloud synchronization, reporting, and administrative features.
- Integrate payment terminals, payment providers, webshops, online ordering, and food-delivery platforms.
- Collaborate with the Senior Technical Lead to define the technology stack and scalable system architecture.
- Write clean, modular, stable, testable, and well-documented code.
- Perform testing, debugging, maintenance, and continuous improvements.
- Manage source code using GitHub and track tasks via Jira or Azure DevOps.
- Communicate progress, technical challenges, and requirements clearly in writing.
Required Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of professional full-stack development experience.
- Strong proficiency in C#, ASP.NET Core, and Web API development.
- Practical experience with React, JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Experience with Entity Framework Core and relational databases such as SQL Server or PostgreSQL.
- Solid understanding of REST APIs, authentication, authorization, and third-party integrations.
- Knowledge of software architecture, object-oriented programming, SOLID principles, and design patterns.
- Familiarity with Git and modern source control workflows.
- Ability to write unit and integration tests.
- Strong written English communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership of assigned modules, and collaborate effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
- Availability to work full-time during Central European business hours.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Experience in any of the following areas is advantageous but not mandatory:
- Development of POS or cash-register systems.
- Integration with payment terminals and payment providers.
- Experience with restaurant, retail, fiscal, inventory, or ERP software.
- Building offline-first or Progressive Web Applications.
- Working with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS.
- Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployments.
- Developing real-time synchronization and multi-tenant SaaS applications.
