The World Food Programme (WFP), the world’s largest humanitarian organization, is seeking an IT Operations Associate to support IT maintenance and service delivery across multiple locations in Pakistan. This role involves coordinating IT support activities to ensure reliable technology infrastructure that enables effective humanitarian assistance. Key Responsibilities
- Perform system and hardware maintenance, including network monitoring and system protection, to ensure optimal technology performance.
- Monitor technology reliability, analyze user needs and data, and prepare reports to recommend IT solutions that support informed decision-making.
- Resolve standard IT queries independently and escalate complex issues as necessary to provide accurate information to staff.
- Deliver technical training to end users on commonly used systems and technologies to facilitate effective work processes.
- Mentor and guide junior IT staff to build team capability and enhance service delivery.
- Support the coordination and implementation of new applications, ensuring staff have the necessary tools to perform their duties efficiently.
- Develop and maintain end-user and technical documentation to provide clear information about IT services and products.
- Identify and implement process improvements within the IT division to enhance service quality and efficiency.
- Coordinate installation and maintenance of telecommunications systems in compliance with operational procedures.
- Lead and coordinate IT teams to meet individual and collective objectives while adhering to relevant policies and regulations.
- Follow emergency response protocols to support urgent food assistance operations as required.

Required Qualifications
- Completion of secondary education, with a post-secondary certificate or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Sciences, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. IT certifications such as Microsoft, Cisco, and ITIL are highly desirable.
- A minimum of six years of progressively responsible experience in IT operations, preferably within the UN system or other international organizations.
- Proven experience in analyzing service management outcomes and recommending service enhancements.
- Participation in business process re-engineering and identification of service management improvements.
- Experience with procurement and budgeting processes at the country office level.
- Fluency in both written and spoken English and Urdu.
