Regional Payments Lead-Finance

We are seeking an experienced professional to manage end-to-end regional payment operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of payments across multiple locations. The ideal candidate will have a strong hands-on understanding of banking portals, bank uploads, and payment file management, along with expertise in Host-to-Host (H2H) integrations, MT940 formats, and bank reconciliations. This role requires someone who can effectively oversee remote teams and collaborate with regional stakeholders while maintaining a strong focus on controls, process improvements, and automation initiatives. Familiarity with ERP systems and finance/payment processes is essential, as is the ability to leverage AI and automation tools to enhance operational efficiency. Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills are critical for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the entire regional payment operations lifecycle, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all payment transactions.
- Utilize banking portals and handle bank uploads and payment files with precision.
- Oversee Host-to-Host (H2H) integrations and manage MT940 bank statement formats.
- Perform both manual and automated bank reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy.
- Operate ERP systems to support finance and payment processes effectively.
- Lead and coordinate remote teams and engage with regional stakeholders to align payment operations.
- Drive process improvements, enforce strong internal controls, and implement automation strategies.
- Apply AI and automation tools to optimize payment workflows and increase operational efficiency.
- Use advanced Excel skills and analytical capabilities to monitor, report, and resolve payment-related issues.
- Communicate clearly with internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth payment operations.

Required Qualifications

- 4 to 5 years of experience in payments, banking operations, treasury, or finance operations.
- MBA, ACCA qualification, or an equivalent professional certification.
- Proven expertise in banking portals, payment file management, and bank integrations.
- Strong knowledge of manual and automated bank reconciliation processes.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems related to finance and payments.
- Demonstrated ability to manage remote teams and work with regional stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Excel and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
