Regional SAM Coordinator - Small & Medium Recovery Wing (South) (AVP) - TJ / 1925243

National Bank of Pakistan, one of the largest and most reputable banks in the country, is seeking a Regional SAM Coordinator for the Small & Medium Recovery Wing (South) based in Hyderabad. This role is integral to the Special Assets Management team, focusing on recovery operations to ensure effective management of non-performing loans and portfolio recovery targets.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic input for recovery targets assigned by the competent authority.
- Manage recovery efforts for various loan types including SME, Commercial, Agriculture, Islamic, and Non-program-based products.
- Conduct meetings with Branch Managers, Wing Head SME Portfolio, and Regional Management regarding defaulters and litigation matters.
- Review loan portfolios and coordinate with customers to ensure timely recovery, maintaining annual recovery sheets and MIS reports.
- Follow up with borrowers for timely payment of monthly or quarterly installments.
- Liaise with defaulters, Legal Division, and external agencies in coordination with the Wing Head to resolve recovery issues.
- Discuss monthly performance and outstanding recoveries with the respective Wing Head.
- Ensure achievement of recovery targets while adhering to SBP Prudential Regulations, Recovery Policy, and Credit Policy Manual during settlements and restructurings.
- Maintain compliance with banking laws, regulations, instructions, and procedures.
- Negotiate potential settlements with defaulters in coordination with the Wing Head.
- Participate in monthly meetings with the Wing Head and Regional Manager to ensure smooth operations of the SAM Group.
- Follow up with branches regarding charge-offs.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation and records related to daily operations.
- Address all audit requirements and observations (internal and external) and implement corrective measures to prevent recurrence.
- Ensure all processes are completed within specified turnaround times (TAT).
- Adhere strictly to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as per bank policies.
- Perform any other assignments as delegated by supervisors.

Required Qualifications:
- Minimum graduation or equivalent from a university/college/institute recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan.
- At least six years of banking experience, including a minimum of three years managing or dealing with recovery portfolios.
- Strong knowledge of retail and Special Assets Management portfolios.
- Familiarity with State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) Prudential Regulations.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits:
- Candidates with a master’s degree and/or relevant professional certifications will be given preference.
- Employment is on a contractual basis for three years, with the possibility of renewal at management’s discretion.
