The Relationship Manager-SME position within the Consumer Banking Group is based in Gujranwala and offers an opportunity to contribute to the growth and management of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) by providing tailored banking solutions. This role involves building strong client relationships, understanding customer needs, and delivering financial products that support business development. The position is classified within Band-9 to Band-8, reflecting its level of responsibility and impact within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain a robust portfolio of SME clients by identifying potential business opportunities and nurturing existing relationships.
- Conduct thorough credit appraisals and risk assessments to ensure sound lending decisions aligned with the bank’s policies.
- Provide customized financial solutions including loans, trade finance, and deposit products to meet the diverse needs of SME customers.
- Collaborate with internal teams to facilitate smooth processing of loan applications and ensure timely disbursement of funds.
- Monitor client accounts regularly to manage credit quality, identify early warning signs, and take proactive measures to mitigate risks.
- Drive business growth by achieving assigned targets for new customer acquisition, loan disbursement, and portfolio expansion.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes affecting the SME sector.
- Represent the bank at industry events and networking forums to enhance brand visibility and foster strategic partnerships.

Required Qualifications

- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in SME banking, relationship management, or credit analysis, preferably within a reputable financial institution.
- Strong understanding of SME business dynamics, credit risk assessment, and financial product offerings.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to analyze financial statements and prepare comprehensive credit proposals.
- Proficiency in relevant banking software and MS Office applications.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
