At Mobilink Microfinance Bank Ltd. (MMBL), the Relationship Officer Asset plays a crucial role in building and maintaining strong connections between the bank and its customers. This position involves understanding clients’ unique financial needs and providing personalized assistance, whether it’s opening accounts, guiding customers through financial products, or resolving concerns. The Relationship Officer acts as a trusted advisor, delivering tailored solutions that enhance the overall banking experience while supporting the bank’s growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement approved sales and service plans to achieve the bank’s growth targets by coordinating closely with Branch Managers and Relationship Managers.
- Develop and maintain customer relationships by selling bank products in accordance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Achieve sales targets ethically, avoiding practices such as family loaning, activist base lending, and adjustment lending.
- Drive profitability by increasing loan sales and expanding the customer base while adhering strictly to SOPs.
- Market company products effectively and contribute to strategy development.
- Utilize strong persuasion and negotiation skills to identify and capitalize on business opportunities.
- Evaluate customer profiles using the five C’s of credit and communicate product terms and conditions clearly.
- Conduct physical verification of prospective clients to ensure performance is on track.
- Proactively manage loan collections, ensuring timely repayments and 100% collection rates by maintaining regular communication with clients.
- Handle customer legal documents with utmost care to prevent misuse.
- Guide customers to deposit loan repayments at cash counters and avoid cash handling during regular duties; ensure strict compliance with collection manuals when collecting in the field.
- Prepare weekly field activity plans and report deviations in consultation with Line Managers.
- Organize monthly and quarterly customer meetings as per product programs.
- Conduct loan bookings in full compliance with bank policies, procedures, ethics, and standards.
- Continuously update knowledge of products and services, recommending improvements based on client feedback.
- Perform market assessments and research to identify new sales opportunities and review existing markets in collaboration with line managers.
- Maintain high internal service standards and ensure no service-related complaints by following the bank’s fair treatment of customers policy.
- Foster long-lasting relationships between the bank and its customers.
- Report any suspected fraud or potential losses to the line manager or Head of Department promptly.
- Ensure full compliance with bank SOPs and State Bank of Pakistan regulations to protect the bank’s reputation and prevent financial or operational losses by adhering to internal control standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from a reputable institution is mandatory.
- 0-1 years of relevant experience in a related field is preferred.
