Relationship Officer Deposit

Mobilink Microfinance Bank Ltd. (MMBL) is seeking a Relationship Officer for Deposit Banking to manage and grow relationships with individual and corporate clients. The role focuses on acquiring new customers, retaining existing ones, and ensuring clients’ deposit needs are met efficiently. This position plays a vital part in building a healthy portfolio that supports liability growth and cross-selling targets, contributing to the bank’s overall retail deposit expansion.

Key Responsibilities:
- Execute the customer acquisition process to build a robust portfolio for liability growth and meet cross-sell targets.
- Develop a portfolio of Current Account, Low Savings Account (CALSA), and Term Deposit (TD) customers within agreed timelines.
- Achieve assigned portfolio targets product-wise (CALSA, Savings Account, Term Deposit) on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Recruit and onboard freelancers and brand ambassadors to form a deposit mobilization team of 25 members for retail deposit marketing.
- Maintain the targeted portfolio mix between CASA (Current Account and Savings Account) and Term Deposits.
- Drive fairly priced deposit growth by encouraging multiple account openings.
- Establish and nurture strong relationships with key potential clients, converting them into ongoing business partnerships.
- Ensure all objectives are met in accordance with bank policies, procedures, and strategies while coordinating with internal branch units.
- Monitor daily deposit mobilization and New-To-Bank (NTB) account opening rates.
- Identify client challenges and collaborate with Relationship Managers or Branch Managers to address their needs effectively.
- Seek opportunities to cross-sell or upsell products to existing clients.
- Keep track of competitor activities to proactively retain and satisfy MMBL clients.
- Deliver excellent customer service to uphold the bank’s positive reputation.
- Resolve customer complaints promptly and professionally.
- Complete any additional tasks or assignments efficiently as directed by the Line Manager.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from a reputable institution in Business Administration, Commerce, Accounting, Marketing, Economics, Finance, or an equivalent field.
- Strong understanding of deposit products and their operational mechanisms.
- Knowledge of CASA fundamentals and strategies to drive CASA growth.
- Minimum of 1 year relevant experience in sales, management, or operations within retail/consumer banking or a related industry.
