This position also offers the opportunity to enhance your analytical capabilities by using AI tools, helping you stay ahead in an AI-driven world.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and solve challenging Physics problems aimed at testing the limitations of large language models.
- Develop clear, high-quality, step-by-step solutions with well-articulated reasoning.
- Collaborate closely with LLM researchers to ensure problems align with evaluation goals, focusing on areas where models often struggle, such as abstraction, multi-step reasoning, and symbolic manipulation.
- Assist in defining new evaluation benchmarks based on Physics curricula ranging from early undergraduate to PhD-level topics.
Required Qualifications:
- Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to approach problems methodically.
- Capability to provide constructive feedback and detailed annotations.
- Creative and lateral thinking skills to approach challenges innovatively.
- Excellent structured communication and collaboration skills, especially in a remote work environment.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Access to a desktop or laptop with a reliable internet connection.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits:
Candidates currently pursuing a Ph.D. or postdoctoral degree in Physics, Applied Physics, or related fields are encouraged to apply. The ability to analyze and solve complex Physics problems using a structured, logical approach is essential. Additionally, candidates should be adept at explaining Physics concepts clearly through simple language, visuals, and sound reasoning.
This is a fully remote freelance opportunity that allows you to work on cutting-edge AI projects in collaboration with leading large language model companies. There is potential for contract extension based on performance and project requirements. Please note that this is a contractor assignment without medical benefits or paid leave.
