Research Assistant - Pharma R&D

We are an emerging pharmaceutical R&D startup specializing in advanced drug delivery systems, including topical and nanoformulations. Our mission is to bridge early-stage research with practical product development, driving innovation in the pharmaceutical sector. We are currently seeking a dedicated Research Assistant to join our team at our DHA-II, Islamabad laboratory. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic startup environment focused on cutting-edge pharmaceutical research.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development of formulations such as topicals, gels, and novel drug delivery systems.
- Perform routine laboratory experiments while maintaining accurate and detailed records.
- Support analytical testing procedures, including techniques like HPLC and UV-Vis spectroscopy.
- Prepare samples and reagents, and ensure proper maintenance of laboratory equipment.
- Aid in data analysis and thorough documentation of experimental results.
- Adhere to laboratory safety protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliance.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Pharmaceutics, Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline.
- Basic understanding of formulation development processes and analytical techniques.
- Familiarity with HPLC or similar analytical instrumentation is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent documentation and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced startup environment.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits:
- Previous laboratory or internship experience within pharmaceutical or biotechnology settings is highly desirable.
- Exposure to topical formulations or drug delivery systems will be considered a plus.

This is a full-time, in-person position based at our DHA-II, Islamabad laboratory. The monthly salary range for this role is Rs40,000 to Rs50,000.
