Research Coordinator, School of Nursing and Midwifery

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate the day-to-day implementation of research studies across multiple participating sites.
- Liaise effectively with study investigators, participating facilities, research staff, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Support site initiation processes, staff training, intervention rollouts, and follow-up activities.
- Oversee recruitment efforts, participant engagement, and the collection of study-related data.
- Ensure all research activities comply with approved protocols, standard operating procedures (SOPs), ethical guidelines, and project timelines.
- Monitor data completeness, accuracy, and quality, and coordinate the resolution of data queries.
- Maintain comprehensive study documentation, including files, trackers, training records, and meeting minutes.
- Facilitate communication and follow-up with participating sites regarding study progress and deliverables.
- Prepare periodic progress and activity reports for the Principal Investigator.
- Assist in the development and updating of study manuals, SOPs, training materials, and presentations.
- Support the preparation and submission of documents required by institutional and site-level regulatory and ethical bodies.
- Contribute to dissemination and implementation activities as directed by the Principal Investigator.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and ensure appropriate handling of research data.
- Travel to participating study sites as necessary to support study activities.

Required Qualifications

- A Master’s degree in Nursing, Public Health, Health Sciences, Healthcare Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in research coordination or implementation of health research projects.
- Proven experience coordinating multi-site research activities and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong understanding of research ethics, data confidentiality, and quality assurance procedures.
- Excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal, and report-writing skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and electronic data collection or data management platforms.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adhere to project timelines.
- Willingness to travel to participating study sites as required.

Preferred Qualifications and Additional Information

Experience in clinical research, health systems, neonatal, maternal-child health, or implementation research is highly desirable. Comprehensive employment reference checks will be conducted as part of the recruitment process.
