The role is a full-time, on-site Researcher position located in Islamabad. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and conducting zoological research, including fieldwork, laboratory experiments, and data collection aligned with the institute’s priorities. This position involves developing research proposals, conducting literature reviews, analyzing both quantitative and qualitative data, and preparing detailed reports and manuscripts for publication. The Researcher will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, present findings at seminars or conferences, and assist in grant applications and project documentation. Maintaining ethical research standards, accurate record-keeping, and mentoring junior team members or students as needed are also key aspects of this role.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement zoological studies encompassing fieldwork and laboratory experiments.
- Develop research proposals and conduct comprehensive literature reviews.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret quantitative and qualitative data using appropriate statistical tools.
- Prepare research reports, manuscripts, and presentations for scientific dissemination.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to grant writing and project documentation.
- Present research findings at seminars, workshops, and conferences.
- Ensure compliance with ethical standards and maintain meticulous research records.
- Support mentoring and guidance of junior researchers or students when required.

Required Qualifications
- Strong academic background in zoology, ecology, or related biological sciences with demonstrated ability to design and execute research studies.
- Proficiency in data collection and analysis, including experience with statistical software such as R, SPSS, or equivalent.
- Excellent scientific writing and communication skills suitable for diverse audiences.
- Hands-on experience with fieldwork and laboratory techniques, adhering to safety and ethical guidelines in animal research.
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple research tasks with attention to detail.
- Master’s degree or higher in Zoology, Biology, Wildlife Science, or a closely related field. Prior research experience and publications are advantageous.
- Strong organizational, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to continuous learning.
- Willingness and ability to work on-site in Islamabad and travel as needed for field projects or collaborative research.
