The Robotic Process Automation (RPA) Engineer will play a critical role in designing, developing, deploying, and managing enterprise automation solutions. The primary focus is to migrate existing Autosphere automation processes to an in-house RPA platform while ensuring seamless business continuity. This role involves close collaboration with business, IT, and data teams to transform manual and semi-automated workflows into secure, scalable, and intelligent end-to-end processes. Additionally, the engineer will support the integration of AI agents and intelligent automation capabilities to enhance productivity across various business functions. The initial 12-month contract will emphasize stabilizing automation operations, establishing governance, and maintaining business coverage during the migration.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the end-to-end migration of existing Autosphere processes to the in-house RPA platform.
- Inventory, assess, and prioritize automation processes for migration and improvement.
- Re-engineer processes where necessary, rebuild bots, conduct testing, manage cutover, and decommission legacy bots.
- Identify, analyze, and document business processes suitable for RPA and AI-driven automation.
- Design, develop, test, and deploy automation solutions using platforms such as Microsoft Power Automate, n8n, UiPath, Autosphere, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, or equivalents.
- Collaborate with business and IT teams to gather requirements and define automation workflows.
- Map current as-is processes, identify automation opportunities, and design optimized to-be workflows.
- Develop and integrate AI agents to boost productivity across teams and business functions.
- Work with datasets to support data preparation, model training, validation, optimization, and performance evaluation.
- Integrate AI models and agents with automation workflows and enterprise systems to create intelligent end-to-end solutions.
- Manage daily RPA operations including orchestration, scheduling, credential management, monitoring, logging, and infrastructure capacity.
- Maintain and monitor deployed bots to ensure reliability, scalability, and performance efficiency.
- Troubleshoot, debug, maintain, and enhance existing automation solutions based on user feedback and performance metrics.
- Document RPA processes, AI/ML workflows, system integrations, and operational procedures.
- Ensure compliance with information security, data privacy, governance, compliance, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive digital transformation and increase adoption of automation and AI solutions.
- Continuously evaluate emerging RPA, workflow automation, and agentic AI technologies and recommend improvements.
- Ensure bots and AI agents operate within approved systems, access levels, security controls, and data privacy requirements.

Required Qualifications

- 3–5 years of hands-on production RPA experience with proven ability to design, develop, deploy, and operate RPA bots end-to-end in production environments.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Automate and n8n.
- Experience with at least one major RPA platform such as UiPath, Autosphere, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, or equivalent.
- Strong expertise in RPA bot operations, production support, orchestration, scheduling, credential management, monitoring, logging, troubleshooting, and incident handling.
- Proficient in process analysis and process mapping, including mapping as-is processes and designing to-be workflows.
- Ability to identify and quantify business value from automation opportunities.
- Experience gathering requirements and collaborating effectively with business and IT stakeholders.
- Strong documentation skills covering automation processes, workflows, integrations, and operational procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills tailored to both business and technical audiences.
- Understanding of information security, data privacy, governance, and regulatory requirements, especially in financial services environments.

Preferred Qualifications and Additional Skills

- Experience migrating automation processes between RPA platforms, particularly Autosphere migration.
- Background in banking, fintech, or telecom sectors.
- Experience developing or integrating AI agents into enterprise automation workflows.
- Familiarity with agentic AI frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, or AutoGen.
- Understanding of machine learning fundamentals including data preparation, model training, validation, optimization, and performance evaluation.
- Experience with Intelligent Document Processing (IDP), OCR, and document understanding technologies.
- Knowledge of document automation use cases such as KYC, customer onboarding, or reconciliation.
- Exposure to additional RPA or automation technologies like Robocorp or OpenRPA.
- Familiarity with core banking systems, payment systems, digital wallets, and banking back-office processes.
- UiPath Advanced RPA Developer certification or equivalent RPA/automation platform certification is a plus.

This position is based in Islamabad, Pakistan, and is offered on a 12-month contractual basis. Candidates with a bachelor’s degree and relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
